To care for pearls, always put them on after cosmetics and perfume, and take them off first. Gently wipe them with a soft, damp cloth after each wear to remove body oils and dirt. Store pearls separately from other jewelry in a soft pouch or lined box to prevent scratches. Avoid harsh chemicals, heat, ultrasonic cleaners, and plastic bags.  Keep out of hot tubs and pools.
